Curtain cleaning - the Kirby Method

So what is the Kirby method for cleaning curtains? Quite simple, curtains are cleaned while they are hanging. No need to take them off the rails.

Curtains are cleaned with dry foam and one should allow a couple of hours as the curtains are slightly damp. The results are fresh smelling, soft to the touch, clean curtains!

The Process

  • Curtains are vacuumed
  • Sprayed lightly with chemical
  • Then sprayed with foam
  • The foam dries into crystals
  • The curtains are "blown" to remove any remaining crystals
  • 6 curtain drops (Woolworths size) takes about 1,5 hours
